Some Local "Plants" and Using Too Much Water

Anyways. This week was fast, even though we didnt have too much success. Had more intercambios but this time I was with elder ospina, who has about 3 weeks on the mish, we did really good. killed it. But during the intercambios we went to a members house and there was a huuuuuuuge marijuana plant on their front porch. It was taller than me. Because its legal here now.
So that was interesting and we have an investigator, we call her pichus mom. because she has a son called pichu and we dont know her real name, but she is a grandma and is 33 years old. Freaking uruguayos, you can just basically assume that when you have an investigator you´re going to have to talk about marriage, and the word of wisdom, palabra de sabiduria, because they all are fumando y bebiendo.
We had the ward mission leader talk to us, about baptism dates, because aparently the six missionaries in this ward are using too much water, and we need to only have two baptism faunts full of water for the month, sooooo we need to plan and coordinate our baptisms together, its rough.
We were at a less active members house, they´re awesome but they´re getting divorced which is dumb because they were super super strong in the church, one of those pillar families, and the winter olympic games were on.... temptations. Almuerzos, are difficult, because lunch is the biggest meal of the day here we have lunch with them, and yesterday we spent an hour and twenty minutes finding the house of the member who we had lunch with. ughhh it was hot. yup yup thats about it. doing pretty good. I think thats about everything.

Rain!

We were at a members house and they had the winter olympics on their tele. oh temptations. This week was hard, just because it rained like it has never rained before. But we started february very good. We broke the mission record last month for baptisms, the mission had 155 baptisms in one month, mine and elder contreras's 3 helped, and our last 2 were some of the last ones to be submitted.

We had more intercambios this week so I was with Elder Powell from washington, for a day and a night, and it rained and rained and rained. All the members houses flooded and most of the missionaries had to find new places to live. luckily we live on a kinda hill so we only flooded alittle. but we were walking around in shin deep water for a few days, and there are still people doing repairs from the storm last week. a bunch of streets just got washed away. lots of fun.

We were talking with an investigator who spoke english, and half of the lesson was english and the other part spanish, and afterwards my companion said, tranky pitbull, tranky means like, easy there, and pitbull is a rapper, you'll have to ask josh or ben or aaron who it is.

Yes so gracias por la comida y por mi packetes tambien, fue muy dificile esta semana porque la lluvia, y todo los miembros quando ellos ven la luvia, es como, ya, no iglesia hoy. Tal vezes, los uruguayos son porcadia.

Baptism...

Well well, seems pretty busy back home. Good to hear about everybody. Good ole, jajiva and aaron. Joseph and mariah just learning and stuff. sounds all good and tranky. like tranquil thats what they say all the time down here.
Ah tucanos, that sounds really good, yeah with the new elders it is extremely squishy, Elder arnett from arizona, and Elder Ospina, from Columbia. They´re really cool, and its rained all this week so they sleep in our room on the floor because the kitchen has that metal roof and its too loud when it rains, the rain flooded alot of the streets and washed one clean away, just a big hole where there once was a street. We baptized, Jennifer de Oliviera medieda de Fellipe, I had to pronounce that name, and my comp baptized Nahuel. So it was a good week. Really fast.
When we were out and about in the streets talking with people we were by the super market and this guy talked with us, but he was loco, and just repeated the same stuff over and over, then he took off his shirt and tried to buy some food, but had no money, then ran away. Really weird, then sunday we were sitting in sacremental and my comp is like, elder webber, look. And lo and behold, it was him, he started yelling, hallelujah and praise the lord, during the testimonies, and we had to escort him out but he ran into an empty room and pulled out his fake teeth and broke them on the floor, then one of the hermanos who is a cop, came in and ¨took care¨ of him. It was an interesting day.
And we were talking with another guy who said he cant come to church because jesus was black? Thats the second guy to say that to us. Just a weird week.
We have some cool parrots here, bright green that bathe in the puddles in the streets. And we had stroganof the other day at a members house. oooooooh yeah, thats home right there. Our house is a mess, because our roomies dont have any room to put their clothes or their food, or their beds, its pretty bad.
Yeah other than that, not much, and thus begins the second cambio in the reign of the mission feild. I´ll have to make some dope forts with joseph when I get back then. Yeah elder Arnett is super tranky, and trunkie. Which means he talks alot about home, which means I have to as well, it doesn´t distract us because its at night and we´re both pretty good at switching from relaxed to business time. BUt yes alllllll good here.
